The Supreme Court while hearing the case regarding the Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri complex in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh directed to seal and protect the area where the ‘Shivling’ was found.
The court also added that this would not restrain or impede access of Muslims to the mosque or use of it for performing prayers and religious observances.
Justice Chandrachud added that they have balanced it out.
Order : The area where shiv ling is found shall be protected.

The above order shall not in any manner restrict or impede the entry of Muslims to mosque for namaz or religious observances.
Ahmadi : And wazu too.
SG : That is my concern as a State.
The Supreme Court is to continue hearing the case on Thursday.
The court is hearing this after the Varanasi court ordered a video survey inside the complex.
