Former Delhi Chief Minister Sushma Swaraj rose to her highest after the emergency ended in 1977. She also played an integral part in the JP Movement. As one of the youngest Cabinet members from Haryana, Swaraj was one of the biggest women politicians in India. She was the second woman external affairs minister after Indira Gandhi. Her term as the external affairs minister was the most talked about as she helped people far and wide. She was known for her prompt and savage replies on Twitter and helping Indian citizens stuck in other countries who appealed to her via the microblogging site. She passed away in 2019 following a cardiac arrest. Swaraj also represented India in the United Nations on various occasions.
Swaraj was a prolific leader and also the first woman Chief Minister of Delhi. Swaraj was involved in politics since her days in college. She was also a member of the ABVP.
This is one example of her exemplary sense of humor and prompt action.
