New Delhi / Bhubaneswar : The coronavirus pandemic has not only claimed lives and caused economic hardship, but also made humans more vulnerable to organize criminal networks.
In view of pay cuts and job loss, the odisha govt. has asked it’s police to initiate steps to prevent human trafficking.
The ministry of home affairs had advised all states to stay alert and track human trafficking activities during the pandemic. The MHA had told the states to strengthen their intelligence, surveillance against traffickers, identify vulnerable location.
Though different department of state government have been jointly working on the prevention of human trafficking, police have been specifically asked to address the issue.
