The incident occurred on Wednesday amid soaring temperatures, reaching 39.5 degrees Celsius with humidity levels at 83 percent.The affected journalist, identified as D Barik from a local television network, collapsed suddenly, prompting immediate action from the Prime Minister. PM Modi swiftly directed his medical team, who accompany him at all times, to attend to Barik. He also urged the crowd to clear the area to allow the journalist to receive fresh air.Barik received prompt first aid from the Prime Minister’s medical team before being transported to the district hospital. At the hospital, Barik was treated in a specialized ward for heat-related conditions and subsequently made a full recovery.A doctor at the hospital confirmed the successful treatment and recovery of Barik. Expressing his gratitude, Barik later recounted his experience, stating, “Suddenly, everything went dark, and I fainted. I was unaware that the Prime Minister had instructed his medical team to assist me until others informed me. Modiji’s concern for my health was truly heartening.”This incident highlighted not only the intense heat conditions prevalent in Baripada but also the empathy and prompt action of Prime Minister Modi in ensuring the well-being of individuals during his rally.
