This session will build on the outcomes of the G20 Summit under India’s presidency and address crucial issues for the Global South.PM Modi will engage in bilateral meetings with several world leaders, highlighting India’s strengthening ties with Italy. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who has visited India twice in the past year, has significantly advanced the India-Italy strategic partnership. PM Modi emphasized the commitment to furthering cooperation in the Indo-Pacific and Mediterranean regions. In a notable gesture underscoring India’s importance at the G7, PM Meloni greeted multiple heads of government with a ‘namaste’.Among the key bilateral discussions, PM Modi’s meeting with US President Joe Biden stands out. He has already held talks with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron. Additional meetings with Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni are also scheduled.
