Phase 3 of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Underway Across 42 Seats in Odisha.

Voting is currently in progress for the third phase of the Odisha state assembly elections 2024. This phase, held on Saturday, May 25, sees simultaneous polling for six parliamentary seats in Odisha and the 42 assembly segments that fall within these constituencies. The Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are being conducted concurrently in Odisha.Voting began at 7 am and will continue until 6 pm, with earlier closing times in certain remote and critical booths, according to an official. The constituencies involved include Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Puri Lok Sabha seats.A total of over 94.48 lakh voters are eligible to cast their ballots in this round, with 10,581 polling booths set up across the 42 assembly seats. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) NB Dhal has stated that adequate arrangements have been made to ensure voter convenience at all polling stations.Prominent candidates in this phase include Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJD organizational secretary and MLA Pranab Prakash Das, and BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra. Additionally, four Odisha ministers-Prafulla Mallick, RP Swain, Ashok Panda, and Basanti Hembram-are also in the running.
