Bhubaneswar (June 5, 2024): The Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) will be discontinued in Odisha, making way for the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. This announcement was made by Manmohan Samal, the Odisha BJP Chief, on Wednesday.Samal stated, “The BSKY covered approximately 70 lakh families, but it deprived people of several benefits. With the introduction of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the residents of Odisha will gain access to comprehensive health facilities.”He further assured that the BJP is committed to fulfilling all the promises made before the elections. The transition aims to provide better healthcare services and ensure that the people of Odisha receive the optimal medical care they deserve. The shift to Ayushman Bharat is seen as a significant move towards enhancing the healthcare infrastructure in the state.
