Bhubaneswar : Odisha, on Thursday, reported the highest single-day spike of 755 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
The total number of positive cases in the country stands at 11, 956. While 4476 of these are active cases, 7407 people have been recovered, the I&PR Department said in its latest update on Thursday morning.
Of the new cases that are spread over 23 districts, 508 were in quarantine and rest 247 were local contact cases.
The cases have been reported from 23 districts: Angul (3), Balasore (9), Bargarh (1), Bhadrak (2), Balangir (12), Cuttack (55), Deogarh (4), Dhenkanal (4), Gajapati (30), Ganjam (320), Jagatsinghpur (5), Jajpur (86), Kandhamal (2), Kendrapada (5), Keonjhar (32), Khordha (59) Koraput (5), Malkangiri (18), Mayurbhanj (12) Nayagarh (16), Puri (11), Sambalpur(2) and Sundargarh (62).
