Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has launched a system through which eligible beneficiaries of old-age pension, widow pension, and differently-abled pension can apply for them online.
The application will also be approved online by the relevant authorities and the beneficiary will be able to review the status of the application.
This was informed to all district collectors through a letter by Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma.
As per the latest development, it was no longer necessary to print forms for the Madhuban Pension Scheme and National Social Pension Scheme.
The online system will also help in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
