Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to give incentive to contractual and outsourced healthcare professionals and volunteers who are working under the Health and Family Welfare department for Covid-19 management in the State.
According to an official notification issued by the State Health and Family Welfare department, the proposal made by the managing director of National Health Mission for sanction of payment of incentive to the healthcare professionals (contractual, outsourced and volunteers) has been approved.
Incentive to staff working under the schemes such as MHU in PPP mode, Swasthya Sanjog, EmAS, Free Diagnostics, NIRMAL and Swasthya Sahayamay will be met from the respective scheme, the notification said.
The controlling authorities will decide the category of staff and their number keeping in view their role in COVID- 19 management work.
Notably, the govt earlier announced advance salary of four months for doctors, paramedics and healthcare workers in recognition to their services in combating the coronavirus pandemic in the State.
