Odisha’s Chief Minister-elect, Mohan Majhi, is set to be sworn in today, accompanied by his two deputy CMs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recently inaugurated for a third term, and former CM Naveen Patnaik will attend the event.Majhi, aged 52, will be joined by first-time MLA Prabhati Parida and seasoned legislator KV Singh Deo as his deputies. Representing the Keonjhar constituency, Majhi is recognized as a prominent tribal leader.His selection followed consultations by Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Bhupendra Yadav with senior BJP leaders and newly elected representatives. Singh praised Majhi as a “young and dynamic karyakarta” upon the announcement.The BJP’s victory ends the 24-year reign of the Biju Janata Dal in Odisha. Prior to the ceremony, Majhi will visit the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar at 2:30 PM on June 12, heading directly to Raj Bhavan from the airport.
