The newly appointed Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, is set to chair a crucial cabinet meeting today at 11:30 am in the Lok Seva Bhavan. This meeting is expected to address several significant proposals and discussions. According to reports, the Odisha Cabinet will consider and likely approve several key proposals. This meeting is particularly noteworthy as the state budget is scheduled to be presented on July 25. Various departmental demands and propositions, including those related to city development, trade, and transport, are anticipated to be on the agenda. Additionally, decisions regarding agriculture, water resources, planning and coordination, law, and municipal departments are also expected to be discussed. In a previous cabinet meeting on June 19, the state government submitted the statement of the Justice Raghubir Das Commission report to the High Court. Today, the High Court is set to re-hear the case concerning the loss of the key to the temple jewels. The Raghubir Das Commission’s 324-page inquiry report on the missing keys, submitted in November 2018, has now been made public. This comes after Dillip Kumar Baral of Puri petitioned the High Court due to the initial lack of transparency regarding the report. Today’s cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Majhi, holds substantial importance for the state, with potential approvals and decisions that could impact multiple sectors.
