Bhubaneswar: Odisha is all set to face cyclone Yaas which is likely to make it’s landfall in North Odisha. Districts adjoining West Bengal and parts of North Odisha are likely to be the most affected.
Odisha government has tightened up it’s buckles in order to ensure zero casualty. Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena notifies all collectors about evacuation of people without delay. SRC has also advised to shift all workers of construction sites to safe structures and provide food , water and other facilities. He advised to Labour dept to monitor this. As in several districts construction works are going on in Government, corporate and private sectors where outside labourers are housed in temporary camps which are structurally unsafe.
SRC has also advised all collectors of Cyclone prone districts to keep engaged with communities through social media sharing information, safety tips, does & don’t.
