Bhubaneswar : Today the Odisha government suspended former Deputy Collector of Subarnapur district, Iswar Chandra Das for his alleged negligence in discharging government duties.
According to an order issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Das has been suspended with immediate effect.
The order further stated Das shall be at Collectorate, Deogarh during the suspension period. He was asked not to leave headquarters without obtaining the prior permission of the Collector, Deogarh.
Das will be entitled to the payment of subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule-90 of Orissa Service Code, the order added.
The action has been taken against Das on basis of a report submitted by Project Director, DRDA, Subarnapur.
