Cuttack : This year’s Durga Puja in Cuttack city will be a low key affair for Covid-19 pandemic, informed Police Commissioner, Sudhanshu Saranagi.
Sarangi today chaired a meeting with Puja Committee members of Cuttack and discussed the modalities of the festival as per Covid-19 norms.
“It has been proposed that the puha will be held in closed pandals in the presence of very few people. There will be no immersion procession and residents will be restricted from visiting the pandals,” said Sarangi.
There will be another meeting with the Puja Committee members in Bhubaneswar on Monday. “ We will go through all suggestions and proposals and the final decision to conduct puja will be taken with consultation of the state government,” added Sarangi.
