Bhubaneswar : OSDMA in collaboration with UNICEF has developed the COVID-19 Sangramee portal.The portal will enable individuals as well as organisations to register themselves as volunteers who will be utilised by the Adminstration as per need.
Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Development Commissioner has launched a unique website `https://covidsangramee.odisha.gov.in, while inviting volunteers of Odisha to join the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the State.
Pradeep Jena, SRC and ACS Disaster Management , Saurabh Garg, Principal Secretary Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment and other senior officials were present during launching of the wbsite here in the Conference hall of OSDMA on 25 April.
He said the Government of Odisha has summoned all its resources to tackle this crisis due to the Corona virus.
Various International Agencies and Civil Society Organisations have shown overwhelming interest on a voluntary basis to support the efforts of the State Government.
It was also seen that there are many without affiliation to any organization who are willing to work with Government in fighting against the pandemic.
Government of Odisha is now inviting volunteers to come forward and register themselves through ` https://covidsangramee.odisha.gov.in’ and support the government and the people of Odisha.
Chief Minster Naveen Patnaik has made an appeal to the people of State to come forward to work as volunteers to cooperate the State Government initiatives in health care, management of logistics, distribution of materials and working with the Government to fight the crisis situation.
