Bhubaneswar : The Odisha Government today decided to go for capacity enhancement in the field of disaster management in the State.
The decision was taken during a review meeting on the State’s preparedness in disaster management held at the Lokseva Bhawan today.
The meeting chaired by Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra decided to procure hi-tech equipment for capacity enhancement and contour expansion of Fire Service.
An estimated outlay of Rs 39.58 crore was approved for the purpose at the meeting.
Similarly, an outlay of Rs 65.35 crore was approved at the meeting for the procurement of hi-tech equipment for skill enhancement of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) units.
