Delhi Election Results 2024 Live: The BJP aims to achieve a third consecutive victory in all seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital.Voting took place on May 25 in Delhi, the sixth phase of the national elections that started on April 19 and concluded on June 1. Today, June 4, marks the beginning of vote counting. In the 2014 and 2019 general elections, the BJP secured a clean sweep in Delhi, obtaining over 50% of the vote share in each seat and 57% overall in 2019.To challenge the BJP’s dominance, the AAP and Congress formed a seat-sharing agreement, with the AAP contesting four seats and Congress three. The BJP, meanwhile, replaced six of its MPs, retaining only North East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari.Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of the late Sushma Swaraj, replaced Meenakshi Lekhi in New Delhi. The BJP’s new candidates include Praveen Khandelwal for Chandni Chowk, Harsh Malhotra for East Delhi, Yogender Chandolia for North West Delhi, Kamaljeet Sehrawat for West Delhi, and Ramvir Singh Bidhuri for South Delhi.The AAP fielded Somnath Bharti in New Delhi, Mahabal Mishra in West Delhi, Sahi Ram Pehelwan in South Delhi, and Kuldeep Kumar in East Delhi. The Congress candidates are Kanhaiya Kumar (East Delhi), Jai Prakash Agarwal (Chandni Chowk), and Udit Raj (North West Delhi).
