Dav Unit-8 School Celebrates it’s Golden Jubilee

Bhubaneswar : DAV Public School Unit-VIII launched its Golden Jubilee Celebrations amidst a gathering of special invitees and staff while maintaining all the safety norms and protocols of Covid-19. The school bore
an auspicious aura with fifty havan kunds on the field.

The celebration was inaugurated with the lighting of the Holy Lamp by Chairman of School Managing Committee Mr. Madan Mohan Panda, Regional Officer, DAV
Institutions, Dr. K. C. Satapathy, Asst Regional Officer, Dr. Sujata Sahu,
Manager Dr. D. N. Mishra, Principals of different schools and other special
invitees. This was followed by the release of the Golden Jubilee innovative model ‘NOVUSxpose’ developed by the Atal Tinkering Lab of the school depicting the amalgamation of ancient Indian Culture and modern Science & Technology. Further the occasion was marked a memorable release of a special postal cover by the CPMG, Odisha Circle, Col. Jaleswar Kanhar.

The august gathering was motivated with a special address by Dr (Mrs) Nisha
Peshin, Director (Academics & Public Schools) and Brigadier A K Adlakha,
Director (Administration) of DAV CMC New Delhi. The star attraction of the day was the Foundation Day Lecture by Mr. Shiv Khera, author, activist and motivational speaker. He mesmerised the audience with his inspiring insights about coping up with the present scenario as an emotionally strong warrior and emerge a winner equipped with problem solving skills. A storytelling
session was also organised for the students which was conducted by two eminent alumni of the school, storyteller Mrs. Jhanja Das and Cine artist Ms. Bhoomika Dash. The school was abuzz with virtual activities for more than a week regarding the organisation of different events.

The Principal, Mrs. Ipsita Das while conveying her sincere thanks to all the dignitaries, students, parents, alumni, former staff members, well-wishers of the school for their whole hearted cooperation and support, appealed the students community to prove themselves as good human beings having highest moral values to bring name and glory to their parents, school and society.
