After the age old Congress party fell flat on its face in the recent state elections, the party had promised to look into its organizational changes and behaviors and reasons for the failure of the party. It has gone ahead and hosted itself a brainstorming session in Udaipur, Rajasthan and declared about ‘big changes’ in the party soon.

The party also has started working on various proposals that include 50 percent representation for those below 50 years of age, public insight department and one family-one ticket policy.

The one-family one-ticket policy has an exception, meaning the other member seeking a ticket should have worked as an office bearer of the party for a minimum of five years.

There are also plans of setting up an assessment wing as informed by AICC general secretary Ajay Maken. The purpose of the ‘Chintan Shivir’ is to use to catch up with the new tools of democracy.
