Bhubaneswar: A seven-member Central team arrived in Odisha on Thursday to assess the damage rendered by Cyclone Amphan in the state. The team is led by the Joint Secretary of the Union Home Ministry, Shri Prakash.
As part of the schedule, three members of the team visited Kendrapara district and four others proceeded to Balasore district on Thursday.
The team to Kendrapara met Collector Samarth Verma and senior district officials. It will later visit the affected areas.
The second team will visit the cyclone-hit areas in Bhogarai and Baliapal blocks in Balasore.
On Friday, one team will go to Bhadrak and the other team will visit Jagatsinghpur. The teams will return to Bhubaneswar on Friday evening and meet senior government officials.
The team will return to Delhi on Saturday and submit a report to the Centre.
