BMC Starts Special Vaccination Drive For the Homeless

Bhubaneswar:  The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation in a special drive started carrying out active surveillance in slums, in and around Bhubaneswar.

In a tweet posted by the official account of BMC, it said, “Active slum surveillance carried out regularly by the health workers under the BMC area.

“Regularly monitoring the health condition & surveying the vulnerable groups will help in reducing the spread of the virus.”

The BMC also has been actively collecting samples of market vendors to check the spread of the virus.

Following the testing in slums, BMC conducted a special Vaccination drive for the homeless people above 45  age group residing at the Shelter For Urban Homeless. In the same drive, it today reached to the homeless residing at SUH Kalinganagar K-8, Social Equity Centre Kharvel Nagar, Mali Sahi Unit-3 to Vaccinate the destitutes aged 45+.

The official twitter handle of BMC said, “BMC under its special initiative to Vaccinate the vulnerables, today reached to the homeless residing at SUH Kalinganagar K-8, Social Equity Centre Kharvel Nagar, Mali Sahi Unit-3 to Vaccinate the destitutes aged 45+.”
