Bhubaneswar : The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation today informed that 17 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the Capital City.
Out of these cases, 14 are under home quarantine, while the remaining 3 are local contact cases.
The local contact cases are from:
Naharakanta (27-year-old Male), Employee of Central Government Hospital (32-year-old male) and 37-year-old female from Jaydev Vihar area.
The woman was a service provider at a private hospital, BMC said.
On the other hand, among the home quarantined cases:
7 are Railway officials with travel history to Delhi.
2 are from Bhimpur area lin ked with a previous positive case with travel history to Delhi.
The other cases are from Bhimpur, Dumduma, Nayapalli.
“One case currently under paid quarantine, a native of other district is a 24-year-old female. She is linked with earlier positive case with travel history to Delhi.” the BMC said.
