Bhubaneswar : 143 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the total count to 2388, said the Health and Family Welfare Department today.
Of the fresh cases, 11 are local contacts and remaining 132 have been reported from different quarantine centres across the state. Contact tracing and followup action is underway.
Now from 30 districts, 29 districts are affected with COVID 19 cases.
As per the data shared by I&PR Department, the highest number of 41 cases was reported from red zone Ganjam district followed by Balasore (24), Sonepur (17) and Balangir (13) today. Similarly, Kendrapara district registered 9 cases, Nuapada 8, Mayurbhanj 8, Gajapati and Sundargarh 4 each, Sambalpur, Bhadrak, Angul and Khordha reported 3 cases each, Deogarh 1 and Kalahandi 1.
