143 New Cases in Odisha

As many as 143 fresh COVID-19 cases have been detected in the state in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s total count mounted to 5303, said Health and Family Welfare Department today.

While 137 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres, six are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the department.

Of all the new cases, 141 have been reported from 17 districts: Khordha (16), Nayagarh (13), Balasore (13), Cuttack (20), Jagatsinghpur (1), Angul (1), Dhenkanal (3), Bhadrak (4), Kalahandi (6), Keonjhar (2) Ganjam (32), Sundargarh (12), Kendrapada (10), Jharsuguda (1), Bargarh (1), Balangir (1) and Sambalpur (5). Remaining two cases are, NDRF personnel, who were under quarantine, after returning from Amphan duty in West Bengal.
